A Developmental Edit looks at the whole story; what works, what doesn't and why. Characters, Conflict, Plot, Tone, Voice, and Pace; everything that moves it along, pulls a reader in and makes them want to read more. A developmental edit includes some Line and Copy Editing but the interest is in the bigger picture and how to make it the best it can be. . You've spent days, weeks, months, sometimes years, creating this story now let us help you make it the best it can be and get it ready for publishing. What You Can Expect: This is a considerable time investment on our part. We fully read your manuscript, often two or three times. We prepare a 5 to 7 page commentary on all aspects of the novel to review with you via Zoom or over the phone, or in person, if you are local. There will be margin comments pointing out Line and Copy Editing, though the focus is on the story and not these things. A $250 fee at the time of booking and further costs depend on the length of your manuscript. Up to 60K = $250 60K to 80K - $450 80K to 1000K - $750 Let's find what works within your budget.
